FREEDOM FROM FEAR

Fear of the future is a part of our nature.  However, “Perfect love casts out fear” [1 John 4:18] is the admonition we are given.  Of course, we fall far short of having perfect love, but the linkage between love and fear is profound.  The context surrounding this verse specifies the source and development of love --- if we have love means God is living in us and is developing this love into this perfect form [1 John 4:12].  Therefore, as love develops fear disappears.

This web page is dedicated to the purpose of --- (1) reshaping some of our precious towers of sand [Genesis 11:3,4], and (2) encouraging some of us to wonder about the efficacy of our own personal traditions.  A difficult question to answer, for example, is “Why do we believe the way we do?”  This is so much harder than to answer than the question “Do you believe?”

Starting with the Bible and the guidance of God's Spirit it is possible to separate the facts from all the fiction we hear. We have peace and freedom to gain.
